Focus and Flow

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

I don't know what happened today. I started working at about 6:45 and I felt like I checked the watch again on 10 or so.

The time in between was just gone. Not that I didn't accomplish anything. I must have been in some kind of flow state.

After lunch, it happened again. I put my earphones on a listen to some Airbourne, followed by Roxette. Yes, I know, a strange combination.

I checked the clock just before three. "Oh, great, I could go home, but I will test this one thing". Poof. Four o'clock. "Oh, when did that happen, anyway, I'm going to test one more thing".

Poof. Five o'clock. My coworker said to me: "Didn't you want to leave at three?" - "Yes, but I will just test this one last thing" - "Did you check the clock?" - "Oh sh*, it's five already? I have to buy some things before I go home".

Poof again, I'm not at work anymore and I bought the stuff I wanted to buy.

I just came out of the shower and it is almost seven now. I will go to bed in two hours. Where did my day go?
