Exhausted and Lucky

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

Today was a long day. It all started with an update I had to perform for a customer at 5 a.m. in the morning. Nothing special just my day to day job activities as Developer and DevOp.

After that, I took on with my driving lessons for my motorcycle license. Three sessions every at 50 Minutes. We started at about seven o'clock and came back at about nine. It was my first "extended" drive on a motorcycle.

Even though it was really great to feel the power under myself, driving a motorcycle is also really exhausting. I knew that before but didn't think that it would be that bad. But I'm a beginner and it will get better over time.

Also, I discovered I don't have a problem leaning the motorcycle to the right side. I can ride pretty fast right turns, but on the left side, it is something completely different.

I am not sure why that is, but for me, it is easier to lean to the right than to lean to the left. We'll see how tomorrows three sessions are going to be. My instructor and I will drive a slightly curvier road so I get used to the leaning even more.

After the drive was a nerve-wracking work day, normally only Mondays are that bad, but something screwed me up the whole morning. I could get a clear head after lunch.

And now, I'm back from the gym and after the whole exhausting day, I'm lucky I went there and worked out. Silently writing my 200 words before I go and take a shower.

There won't be much coming after the shower, I'll only practice a presentation I'm going to give my co-workers tomorrow. I must admit I'M a little nervous, even though it's just for fun. I might talk about our company "DevMeetups" in another post.
