Cryonics

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

On Wednesday I got some life insurance offers I requested last week. Since cryonics isn't the cheapest hobby you somehow need to get money for it.

Currently, the price is around 200k at the German / Switzerland Provider. With life insurance, this cost is easily obtained.

If I opt-in for 200k till I'm 60, I will only pay about 70€ per month for it. If I would stop driving a motorcycle and get a few kilograms of my hips I would only pay around 50€ per month.

It is crazy how much you have to pay extra for such "hobbies" but on the other side the likelihood of dying because of a motorcycle accident greatly increase the risk of death in general.

Now I just finished the call with the Head of Tomorrow GmbH and they would agree to me as a patient of the patient pool with the 200k insurance.

If I live longer than 60 (which I really hope) I somehow need to gather the funds in another way. But at least that would minimize the risk with something would happen tomorrow.

Sure I would still have to form a last will, but that would be a quick process.

I think I will sleep the next few days over the thought and make a decision on Monday.
