Crappy Sleep

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

The last night was a pain. I don't know what happened or what the cause was but last nights sleep was crap.

I came home from my grandmothers birthday at about 8 o'clock. Quickly checked my emails and basically went straight to bed. I think I have written before that my grandparent's live about a one and a half-hour drive away.

Sure, I like driving but 250 kilometres in a day with a huge lunch, cakes and other sweets make you very tired.

I think I quickly fell asleep. The first time I woke up at about ten. From that on I know I woke up every hour, as I checked the clock on my wall every time.

Luckily that is not something I experience often, but as with all things sleep-related, it normally destroys the following day.

Currently, I am feeling relaxed, but I think that will change in the next hour or so. Maybe I will leave from work earlier as planned.

If it happens this night again I am probably going to investigate the cause of the problem. Maybe I'm thinking about too many things again.

If it was a one-time thing. For now, I will still be recording it so I don't forget it if something similar happens again.
