Acoustic
This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.
I was browsing through Amazon Music today to find something to listen to while working. I didn't listen to Amaranthe in a while, so I checked their profile and found the Album "Breaking Point - B-Sides 2011-2015".
Since I didn't hear about that before, I thought I should give it a listen. About 30 minutes later I was blown away.
I knew Elize Ryd is a great singer, I saw her with Amaranthe in 2018 on the Wacken Open Air. But I wasn't expecting that.
With the acoustic versions of some of their songs, her voice stands out even more. Considering that she had been singing since she was three (according to Wikipedia), no wonder her voice is great and enjoyable.
Until I listened to that version of the songs, Tarja Turunen (former singer of Nightwish) and Amy Macdonald were my number one female singers.
Now I've got three top singers I could listen to for hours.
If you don't know the singers, here are some links to my all-time favourite songs currently:
Amy Macdonald - Down by the Water
Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera (interesting reaction video)
Amaranthe - Amaranthine (Wedding Version) (Original Version)
