A day at the Airfield

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

I was at the Airfield today. Its been a few months since I was there. The membership is due again and I also had to be there on duty again.

As with the last time I was there, I drove there with the thought of quitting the whole thing. And as always, after a day at the airfield, I know again why I want to do my private pilot licence.

This year it is said that the club will change from a "normal" education method to a "digital" one. Basically, I don't have to sit 12 weekends at the club for face-to-face teaching but can learn on my own at home.

It will be only about 10 or 12 hours of face-to-face teaching and the rest will be online and without a teacher. Obviously the flying lessons will be held at the airfield again, but at least I can learn theory when I have got time to learn.

Anyway, it wasn't a really busy day at the airfield either. Only a few people showed up to fly around and so it was a relaxed day. I read a little bit on my kindle and exchanged some life stories with the other people of my "duty group".

Tomorrow I will be there again, we will see if there will be more people flying or not.
