13 Reasons Why

So, two episodes ago, I started watching 13 Reasons Why ("Tote Mädchen Lügen Nicht" - "Dead Girls don't lie"). It has been on my watchlist since it came out. I remember it releasing an enormous “scream” in public.

But I came back to it a different way. Recently I started binging "Off-grid with Jack & Nicolle" on Youtube. Somehow, YouTube began recommending off-grid videos to me, so I went down the rabbit hole. And so I started with their Episode one (they are building an off-grid Yurt in the middle of nowhere in Canada). Anyway. They use a recurring song in their videos: "Meet Me in the Woods" by Lord Huron.

I was hooked on the tone, so I looked at their Wikipedia and Discography on Spotify. They are producing a great indie rock. But that wasn't the exciting part. Apparently, they became famous with a song used in the series.

So, I'm sitting on my couch in the middle of Episode two of 13 Reasons Why (which I intentionally watch in English), and I can only say I'm hooked. The series is handling some severe topics, and they are doing that perfectly so far. It isn't often that several warnings (and helplines) are placed on Netflixfor a TV show.

I'm not going to give away anything about the story yet, so you have to watch it yourself, but don't ignore the warnings!
