Work Day

This morning, my brother came along so we could work some more on the photovoltaic panels on my balcony. Although we did no mounting work, we pulled a new write through half of my Apartment.
Originally I was planning on leaving the power line of the photovoltaic system running through the existing wires, but that has some problems with it. Mostly that the one wire is “double” used. It isn’t a problem, as those balcony power systems are designed to just plug into an existing outlet and work. But yesterday I pulled a new wire into my office, so I could have it running on a different phase (over here you get three-phase 230V AC) as I had problems in the past with running computers and running stuff in the kitchen.
Now, since one of my largest consumers of the Apartment is the office anyway (2 Synology NAS running all the time, a Raspberry Pi, networking equipment, Philips Hue and HomeMatic Controllers), it made sense to get everything on a separate phase. And so we rewired the office onto a new breaker and also wired the photovoltaic system to it.
So now all power produced by those panels directly feeds into my office. Nothing blew up and my face ins’t covered in copper, so it looks like everything was done as it should be.
I’m pretty exhausted now, and I think I will head to bed shortly.
