Twitter

It’s been a while since Elon took over Twitter, and I’m sure it definitely didn’t get better since then. Over the years I’ve “collected” a total of three accounts. My personal one, one for my YouTube channel, and just last year (or was it the year before?) one for my newsletter.

I’ve used my personal one back in the day quite a bite and also the one for the YouTube channel, but in recent years I haven’t looked much into them. Having a whole load of bots and porn (well, I’m responsible for the porn myself, but anyway) in the timeline (is it called that at Twitter?), I thought it was time to get rid of my accounts.

That’s what I did a few days back, and I’m not missing it. I’ve got two Threads (Meta’s Twitter Clone), again personal and one for my Channel, but I’m mostly using them to read. I notice the tone of conversations appears to be slightly better on Threads than on Twitter, but that might be because the people I follow over there are more selected now, and the algorithm seems not to push “viral” stuff my way.
