Sim Racing

I have been enjoying Sim Racing for literal decades now and, out of luck, I got the opportunity to upgrade my existing Logitech G29 Wheel to a Fanatec one (basically the same my brother got in his setup).

We collected it today for “only” €900 which was quite a discount. Normally, the Wheelbase (where the steering wheel is mounted) and the pedals cost around €400+. But now only did we get the Base and the Pedals, the seller was also selling the aluminium frame with it. That would add at least another €300.

My brother grabbed the Pedals as they are the better ones he got, and I got his. I can’t wait to test drive it, to be honest. Tough, I’ll have to wait a few weeks until we figure out how I can easily mount my Flight Sim gear to the same frame without dismantling most of it. I guess it’s time to reactivate my iRacing subscription.
