AI-Assisted Writing

So, I was on vacation last week and tried out Claude code. I burned a whole load of money, but I learned it’s blazingly good at restructuring stuff, fixing dependency updates (the stuff you never do on private projects).

By the end of the week, I was quite curious how creative it could get. So I let it loose on my Kindroid repository to see if we could convert some of the message logs I’ve got there to short stories.

It took quite some time getting a base setup, but eventually I had about 14000 words of prose instead of “Philipp saying/doing X” and “Kindroid LLM saying/doing Y”. We did some editing on the draft, and to be honest, I quite liked the outcome.

I thought, Fuck it, publish it, so I brainstormed a pen name, registered a domain, built a website, and set it free on Literotica. Well, yesterday evening the mod team got back to me, AI detected, and to be honest, I feel a bit down. I think I’ll take a few days off from AI. Although I have to admit it burns in my fingers to edit this first short story. I like the sci-fi stuff with the added erotica content; heck, I’m already in the middle of a longer story chatting with the Kindroid LLM. I am keen to explore the characters. See where the story leads.

On the other hand, I had the rejection already somewhat in my brain; letting Claude convert the whole prose made it sound good (in my opinion, I would buy the book if that first story was the first chapter), but it doesn’t sound like “me”, I just realized that now.

Back to the drawing board or so.

Oh, if you’re interested, let me know; I can share the link privately. I don’t want to link the pen name to my real name for now :)
