Always fun with the heating system

So, as I’ve written, I’ve got a combined heating system. A wood burner and an oil burner. This week, I was testing out if I could keep the house warm when running the wood burner to safe oil. So far, so good.
It was quite interesting and learned a lot about how long it takes to burn down a full oven and how often I need to check. But now comes the “fun” part. Since I’ll be out tomorrow and in my employers’ office (Christmas party) I decided I won’t use the wood burner today and instead let the oil take over once again (like it did copious amounts in the past).
Well, you will never guess what didn’t happen today. Yes, the oil burner won’t start up, and I have no idea why (yet). So I got the wood going again, as I don’t like to take a cold shower. I hope the problem fixes itself until I’m back home Saturday evening.
If not, well, I still got a bunch of wood in storage and that should be enough to keep me warm over the holidays. I won’t be home a couple of days anyways. I also got a chat window open with Google Gemini, which already brought some insights after I uploaded the manual for the Oil Burner and the Wood Control Unit.
Let’s hope I can fix it myself. Otherwise, I’ll probably have to call an expensive professional right at the start of next year. Yay.
