On Repeat
As I have written in “Noise”, I was really obsessed with Fleetwood Mac recently. This week it changed to a really strange combination.
The last two days my playlist was based on the following few tracks:
- Amaranthe - Maximize
- Amaranthe - Electroheart
- Amaranthe - Drop Dead Cynical
- Amaranthe - 365
- Amaranthe - Helix
- Fall Out Boy - Thnks fr th Mmrs
- Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say
I have been a huge fan of Amaranthe since I saw them at the Wacken Open Air in 2019. The voice of the Singer (Elize Ryd) has a really great voice and the combination with the screaming and shouting of the others is just awesome.
All four Amaranthe songs are currently my wake up playlist. There is nothing better than blasting “Mesmerize, Maximize” out of a good subwoofer (yes, I’ve got an expensive Sonos setup in the Apartment). It is even better when you know the lyrics line by line and you can sing along right after you opened the eyes.
The Fall Out Boy just stumbled upon somehow. I only enjoy two or three songs of them (because I don’t know more) and “Thanks for the Memories” is one of them.
Lastly “Whatcha Say” was kinda a surprise. A coworker sent me this video (“The shooting aka Dear Sister”) a small sketch where parts of the original song of Imogen Heap is used. Derulo used it in his breakthrough “Whatcha Say”.
Also, I have been listening to Wolfgang Petry (a german singer) on the way to work. Mostly “Scheißegal” which translates to “I don’t give a shit”.
My taste is definitely strange, but I hope I could broaden your horizon.
