Subscriptions
In the last weeks, I have been checking through my budget. I cancelled numerous subscriptions I wasn’t using anymore or I found unnecessary. I was continuing that today.
It looks like I finally have everything in my budgeting app and I can finally keep track of every little bit that is consuming my paycheck.
I also finally know why I fell like I don’t have any money left at the end of the month. Most of the time there isn’t any but with the recent rise of my paycheck and the killing of several expensive subscriptions, I think I’m finally on a good track.
Most people don’t even know that they are on a bad track or on a downwards spiral. I have to say, tracking every Euro helped me to get an overview of everything. Who doesn’t have the mortgage payment and electric bill on direct debit (they take their money right out of my account)?
If you don’t look regular, you don’t know how much is on your Account. And with all those small bits cutting out a little bit on your Credit Card, you sometimes forget how much you can spend later on.
For instance, I always forget that I pay my insurances (car, motorcycle, apartment) quarterly. And so the booking sometimes comes “out of the blue”. Now I added the expense as a regular expense to my budget and I know when a payment is due.
If you finally want to get a look at your finances, I can definitely recommend YNAB (You Need a Budget). Although I have been using it for years, it wasn’t until recently when I started using all its capabilities.
You can use my link to get one month of free budgeting there (I also get one for referring you). I think they’ve also got a 34-day trial to test it out.
