Vacation Work

After waking up a little bit refresh this morning, I had breakfast with my grandfather. My grandmother couldn’t sleep in the night and so she was still sleeping at 7 am. We had a little conversation and were flipping through the newspapers. At about 9 we got outside.

A few years back my grandfather had cut down some trees in the back of the garden. Now years later the tree stumps were still there. As they bought something to kill them off chemically recently, we started to apply this granulate to the stumps.

Until 10:30 or so we drilled a bunch of holes into the stumps and filled them up. Then we started working on the back of the garden, where some bushes grew relatively wild. After cutting them down we heard the 12 o’clock church tower bells and went inside to get some food. Also, the sun was really burning down on us, at a temperature of about 34 degrees Celsius.

It is almost 5 pm now, and we are going outside again as the sun settled. But there is already a thunderstorm coming up. Time to clean up the mess we made in the morning. :)
