Shadow
Yesterday my parents called to ask if I had time to mount my sunblind on the balcony. I bought one with my mother last week, but the weather wasn’t good enough to mount it.
Yesterday we finally managed to get a time spot without rain and so we started the mounting process.
Because I didn’t want to drill many holes on the outsides of the Apartment I got a clamped awning. You got two stakes that are clamped between the floor and the lead of the roof.
They can be bought at a variety of size, so I got the largest one I could find, which has about 3 meters in length. I can fold out to about one and a half meters which means it almost covers the whole balcony.
I am glad I invested in it, as it is already paying off. I’m currently sitting on the balcony again and I feel the power of the sun. But it doesn’t burn me to a crisp.
We also mounted a fan-shaped sunblind on the side where the sun sets, so I get some additional protection if needed. Finally, I can use the balcony at every sunny weather without risking sunburn.
