Shaving

I think almost every man and many women know the struggle. Shaving. Many men shave their beard, armpits and intimate area. Many women have many more areas to shave. Other don’t shave anything and that’s fine for me too. Anyway.

Over the years I tried many different shaving foams and many different razors many aftershave and moisture things. But every time I had severe skin irritation.

So I have changed shaving from wet to dry. Most of the time with a 5- to a 15-day beard.

As I started to shave my head recently (although with a completely irregular schedule), I had to change back to wet. Interestingly the skin on the head seems way more robust than the one on the face. No irritations at all.

Then the Instagram advertising hit me again. A few days later I ordered a “starter set” from “BOLDKING”. Today the package arrived.

Most of the normal razors and blades are really expensive, BOLDKING takes another path. Four blades cost only 10€, four blades of the Gillette razor I have been using four blades cost twice as much.

I was sceptical at first, but I have to say they produce a great all in one package. I got the razor, one blade, shaving foam and aftershave. A few minutes later I have to say it was the first time in years, where I enjoyed shaving again.

They also provide a service where you can send them the blades back so they can recycle them.

I know it sounds like advertising, but I really enjoyed it. It will be interesting to test the thing long term.
