Party

The Coronavirus pandemic isn’t over yet, but the case numbers in Austria are already really low. It seems like the hard lockdown paid off, though we don’t know the impact on the economy yet.

At the company, I work nobody had been laid off, in contrast, “my department” even gets two new people (one in July and one in August).

And because of that, the management decided to hold a milestone party this Friday. At two pm we will stop working and celebrate a huge customer milestone we achieved throughout the lockdown.

There will be burgers, desserts, beer, other drinks and more beer. I’m looking forward to it.

Even though we have to keep a distance, it will be a step to a more “normal” work environment. Luckily I can drive to the workplace with two coworkers, which means I don’t have to think about drinking one beer too much to drive. (Hint: Every beer is too much.)
