Reworking my Website

On Saturday I moved almost all remaining freelances customers to my new server. I also moved my pages, except one. I asked my business partner if he got time to move “his” customers.

I think I might be able to cancel the “old” server by the end of June. Only a month later than expected.

I also took a look at ThemeForest. I need to get my Business Website (phaidenbauer.com) actualized. The template and dependencies are way outdated and it needs a general redo. So I thought, why not learn something along the way.

Since I’ve used numerous CMS systems and page builders over the years, I thought I should try out something new. I use “Hugo” to build my blog, but I want to integrate my blog and website into one large site.

One template, one site builder for everything related to phaidenbauer.com

I settled on “Metalsmith” which looks promising. The fact that it is written in Nodejs makes it even better, as I’m doing Nodejs the whole day anyway. And so I could craft my own plugins without much effort.

Even though I should volunteer as a paramedic on Saturday, I think I will skip this shift. I’m currently not in the mood. I could also take my Motorcycle and drive an extended route. The driving training yesterday has brought the taste back.
