I am Mother
We were discussing sci-fi movies today at work. Somehow I ended up searching for a particular movie where I can remember only one scene. I didn’t find it and now I can’t even describe the scene anymore.
I will remember it sometime in the night when my brain had time to fully think about it. :)
Anyway, I came across a listing of recent sci-fi movies. Suddenly “I am Mother” struck me and I added it to my Watchlist on Amazon (yay for Prime Video).
Somehow I didn’t get it out of my mind so I thought, as I came home, I might as well watch it. Normally I don’t watch any trailers and so I didn’t watch one for this movie, at least not consciously. I only knew it had a few good ratings.
I was not disappointed.
In almost two hours of video, three actors deliver something special. Most of the time only one is visible, as the other one is a robot. A third comes into place, but no spoilers from me. :)
The movie raises some interesting thoughts about humans and computers. Especially what happens when a human baby is raised by a robot.
No more details from me, just a definite watch recommendation.
