The Post I wanted to write yesterday
Yesterday was my 365th day of continues writing. This post I am writing right now should have been published yesterday, but a thought experiment with a coworker led me to another topic.
So today I am going to take a look back at that past 365 days of writing.
It is interesting to think back and don’t remember how it all started. As I can’t sort the posts by date, at least I didn’t find a toggle that would make that possible (@basilesamel it would be great to sort by date in “My Words”, any maybe searching by date would also be great :)).
So I am not going to crave down the rabbit hole and search for the first post. Anyway, let’s look at some statistics because I like statistics. :)
369 Posts, 410 Pages, 102686 Words. Impressive numbers. If I’d written something fictionary in all those posts, I would have a decent sized book by now. Thinking about books, my draft and not really edited part of Paramedic Stories has grown to 49 posts (14480 words, almost 58 pages).
The more condensed versions of these 49 posts are still in the working under Paramedic Stories 2.0 (4 posts, 1380 words, 5.52 pages). I think I will have to rework them again as I still don’t like them. Also, I really need to get some sort of structure for that book project done. So I would know in which direction the posts should go and what posts I want to include.
My podcast project is also still in a really early phase and would need some polishing before I start getting episodes out. Structural work needs to be done there as well.
As soon as @basilesamel puts out bouquin.app I will move the Paramedic Stories project there. I also want to start a fiction project in the near future. I’ve read a book about writing a fiction book in the past and I think it is finally time to re-read the book and start writing on a story.
Many things to do in the upcoming writing year. As @brandonwilson says, every day can be January the first.
Finally, I want to thank everyone for reading the stuff I put on here. I don’t know who is reading my stuff as we don’t have statistics here, but just like the youtube channel I had, I don’t do it for the clicks. I’m here to write for fun and for now I still have a lot of fun doing it, so I won’t be gone anytime soon.
