My day

I went to bed yesterday really late. As I have written, it was a really long day, but something in my mind told me that I couldn’t get to sleep.

So I smoked my cigar and drank my beer. Then I decided it was time to watch a movie (it was already 10 o’clock or something), but my mind was way too awake to go sleeping.

I watched The Italian Job from 2003 with Mark Wahlberg and Jason Statham. It is one of the movies I watched at least a few times, but I didn’t watch in a while, so I thought it might be a good idea.

While watching it I started scrolling through Reddit on my phone. Normally an indicator that I don’t really want to watch something.

I went to bed by one o’clock I think. I didn’t sleep that great and woke up at about 10 am. After some turning around in bed I finally knew what I was going to do today. Nothing, with a barbecue on the balcony later on.

By 12 o’clock this plan was destroyed by a call from the emergency dispatch. They asked me if I would have time to drive a few COVID-19 samples to the laboratory. I agreed and by one pm I was back in my paramedic uniform and driving to the capital city of Styria.

When I came back at about 3:30, I decided it might be time to heat up the grill and finally eat something. Said and done.

After eating I continued to sit out on the balcony and read a little bit.

Tomorrow morning I will be driving some samples again, so I’ll have to go to bed earlier today.
