Approaching a Year of Writing

Yesterday a fact struck me in the face. Today I am at 361 days of writing. I didn’t really realize it until the automated Mail from @basilesamel arrived in my inbox saying my subscription will be renewed soon.

The thirst thing that came to my mind: Wait, which subscription? Then my mind caught up with my thoughts.

If you would count the posts I have written, I would be at 365 posts, with this one.

It is strange how fast a habit can be built up to possession. Every day I think I should write right after waking up. On most days I move it to a later time of the day.

When the clock is approaching six or seven o’clock my mind starts to rush and rumble a little. I didn’t write yet.

Almost every time I find myself complaining about myself that I didn’t write any sooner. Today isn’t different.

Maybe this would be the next habit to break over the course of the next year in writing?

The other thing is, looking back on all those posts is really strange. I still can’t imagine that I’ve been writing for 361 days now. 405 pages. You could fill a decent size novel with that amount of words and pages.

Also a huge thanks to @brandonwilson and all the others who are regularly reading and commenting on the crazy stuff I write here and keeping my motivation up!

I’ll see you at the finish line in a few days!
