Book Review "Sterne wie Staub"
I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I am reading, or now was reading, Isaac Asimov’s “The Stars, Like Dust”.
I did a short paramedic shift in the morning and thought I should spend the rest of the morning with reading. I read the last few chapters of The Stars, Like Dust in the last weeks and with every chapter it was getting more and more interesting.
Asimov really did a job on building up the tension with every one of them. According to GoodReads I started at about 66% done today and finished the remaining 34% (about 100 pages).
It is the sixth book in the Robots and Foundation collection and just like the once before, I am not disappointed.
As with other reviews I’ve done, I don’t go into story details. But I want to say that I didn’t expect that no robots are mentioned in it. Or at least I can’t think of a mentioning of them.
Anyway, Asimov is delivering a great experience again. I think it was one of the first novels he published. Even though some critics say it has some weakness in a romance that is described in it, you have to keep in mind that it was one of his first works. No one is born as master writer.
I also heard recently that Apple Acquired the rights to create a TV show around the Foundation books. It will be interesting to see what they will bring up.
