Re: Good decisions bad decisions
I think I have written about decisions before, but I couldn’t find my post about it quickly. Since I want to write something a little bit different, it doesn’t matter anyway.
Are there bad decisions?
Every split second our brain has to do things. Just like the heart, the brain has no idle time the whole life. If the heart stops beating, you die. If the brain stops thinking (consciously or unconsciously) we would die also. At least I think so, so don’t blame me on these made-up facts that make sense in my mind. :)
Anyway. Every split second the brain is deciding something. Where should I put the fingers on the keyboard to write these lines? Do I need to breathe again or can I wait a little longer? Am I thirsty or hungry?
Micro decisions I think they are called. Some of them are done automatically, some of them we can influence, like if we decide to hold our breath.
Is there a difference between a good and a bad decision in this micro hyper short ones? Or are they something that just needed to be done by our brain before it can continue its loop?
If we would count the major of these micro-decisions as good, for example, we eat when we are hungry, the sheer amount of “good” micro-decisions would way outweigh the “bad” once, wouldn’t it?
With every decision, we learn. No matter if they are good or bad.
