Mattress Topper

This weekend my mother gifted me a topper for my bed. I recently complained that my mattresses are saggy after five years and that I am thinking about buying new once.

Well, after yesterdays post, you know I am a little bit broke currently. Obviously my mother knows that. It turned out that a local shop was selling off mattress toppers.

You put them on the mattress and it adds an additional level. She thought she’d buy me one and I should try out if it helps. I denied at first, but just as mothers are, she bought it anyway.

My brother delivered it to me on Saturday morning. Since I was still groggy from the cooking and drinking of Friday night, I wasn’t able to fully get the situation firsthand when he stood in my bedroom.

It was time to stand up anyway and I decided it was time to change the bedsheets. After I opened the windows and let some air in, I felt better and started to unpack this topper thingy.

Just like mattresses it was rolled and packed in plastic. But it wasn’t hard to unpack. I put it on my mattresses and pulled new bedsheets over.

Later, when I went to bed again I immediately felt a difference I wasn’t expecting. Suddenly the mattress, well the topper, felt way harder again. It almost was and is like I bought new mattresses.

The next day I called my mother to thank her for the present. It isn’t like new mattresses, but I can tell the difference to the time I didn’t have the topper.

I can really feel how I’m sleeping better again and how my back doesn’t feel sore when waking up. Thanks mom.
