Re: Someone sick in the office

Brandon started an interesting thought there. Why are getting people sick in January?

In the last years, I always started the year with some kind of diarrhoea and vomiting. Luckily not for a long time but always thee or four days. Just long enough to not be over after the weekend.

This year I didn’t catch anything for now. January only has a few days left, so I might be immune this year.

A few coworkers also started to have colds. None of them really bad, but I think people stayed at home.

The thing is, we’ve got a really great health system in Austria, and it is no shame to stay at home if you’re sick. I don’t understand why people think they need to work in every condition.

You don’t lose your job if you stay at home for a few days. With our system, you don’t even lose it when you’re sick for longer. We got a really got health system, why don’t we use it? And I’m clearly saying use it and not abuse it! (Sorry, the paramedic in me keeps getting out.)

Anyway, I drifted completely away from what I wanted to write. I’ll keep it my head for another day. :)
