Neck-Pain Update and Fever

So, the neck pain is getting better. The headaches are gone. I talked to my mother yesterday and she said it would be a good idea to put something warm there.

I put some heating creme on and it immediately got better. I went to bed yesterday with almost no pain. I woke up today with a little bit of pain.

It stayed small throughout the day and as soon as I came home, I put some more cream on. It is still burning on my neck and it feels great. The heat is just doing what it does best: healing.

An interesting fact on that is that fever is the bodies answer to infection. Today, fever gets treated like any other illness. We know that people who have a really high temperature and suffer from fever for days can die.

Sometimes I ask myself how that must have been years ago when the fever wasn’t cured? Did the people die or did they recover after an extended fever period? When the body killed off the infectious bacteria or whatever was the cause of the fever.

Maybe I should ask one of my paramedic colleagues, some of them are studying medicine.
