Statistics Project Update

This evening I was working on my Life-Statistics project.

I expanded the database for my paramedic stuff. It now got tables for duties, cars and codrivers. Obviously, I also thought about directly importing some stuff.

It turned out that this part won’t be as easy. I am not sure if I’ve written about it, but I am storing all my paramedic duties and driven kilometres in two different Google Tables. They also know about my codrivers.

Currently, it is all a big mess around those two tables. One table got the time of the duty and the codriver, the other got the kilometres, codrivers and some analyses.

I could have exported a CSV and manipulate it, but the database will have a 1 to n relation for the codrivers as multiple co-drivers could be with me on one duty. So every duty needed to be checked separately and prepared for the import into the database.

With some search and replace it wasn’t as bad as I thought at first, but it still was an annoying experience. But now I have got the time of my civilian service in 2015 and all duties from 2015 and 2016.

So, I only got three more years to import which I might do this weekend.

If you want to check it out, here is the link to it.
