Rock Bottom

The first thing that came into my mind as I read Rock Bottom, was Spongebob Squarepants.

I looked a bit through a large search engine and found out that it is some kind of adage. According to the Cambridge dictionary, it means “the lowest possible level”.

But back to Spongebob. If I remember correctly Spongebob misses the bus and finds himself in Rock Bottom. It is a place outside of Bikini Bottom.

No light and some strange figures are located there. The best thing I can remember is when he tries to find an appropriate toilet for his gender. Obviously, he just gets really confused.

The Episode aired years ago and with the stuff Spongebob sometimes handles, I think if it was maybe a political statement?

Sure, not for the kids, but maybe for the adult viewers?

All according to computers leads to binary zero and one. For decades people were also classified with one of the two. Female or male.

Only in recent years, we reach a level where everybody can be whatever he or she or he/she wants to be. The world isn’t binary, man made it.

At least as long as we don’t have quantum computers. After that, we will be completely binary less. Or, at least we will have more state than just one and zero. :)
