Predictable

I have been watching Grey’s Anatomy for quite some time now. I am near the end of Season 15 and I also watched Station 19.

I have written about it before, but today I want to talk about something different.

The Predictability of both of this series.

After more than 14 seasons of Grey’s, I feel like I can foresee the next problem that’s going to arise. As I want to keep this article Spoiler-free, I won’t go into detail.

But sometimes I feel like I know exactly what’s going to happen next.

I even tested this with Station 19, after a few episodes into it, I knew the problem points which are going to rise, and surprise surprise, a few episodes later, the problems I predicted, did rise.

I am definitely not a medium, but it shows how such tv shows work. It is basically always the same. Again and again. Problems, Struggles, Solutions.

The interesting part is to keep the viewer watching. And that is something you have to keep the writers behind such series accountable. If think it isn’t easy to come up with the same problem again and again, without losing viewers.

So, here I’m sitting, and taking off my hat for those great storytellers in Hollywood and around the world. Thank you for keeping me entertained.
