Not a wasted Sunday

TLDR: So, I expected to get rather drunk yesterday, but I didn’t, so my Sunday wasn’t wasted.

The weather was pretty bad when I came back home from my paramedic duty, and as I headed into the shower, it was pouring buckets of water. Luckily, Christoph had time, and so he played taxi for me and drove me to the local paramedic station. I had a chat with my other colleagues, that stayed on duty, while I went home and afterwards headed towards the celebration which happened to be in the basement. Well, underground garage where normally vehicles are parked.

The live band did some sound testing and people started to show up. It wasn’t long until I had my first couple of beers before a friend and I got our hands on some Schnitzel and Pommes. Afterwards, we got some Schwarzwelder Kirsch Torte and Tiramisu out of the copious amounts of desserts that were provided.

Words were said, gifts were given and by around 10 or so the band wrapped up their performance, although many people had left earlier. Maybe around 20 or so were left and some folks already started cleaning up. I expected the party to go longer, but it was then when I decided to vanish.

The rain had cleared up so I walked home, showered and was in bed before midnight.
