Mind work

This post was originally published on golifelog.com.

The last couple of days were pretty long working days. Not directly in a sense of time, but in mind usage. That’s the thing, when you’re not working with your bare hands in construction or similar. Instead of physical exhaustion, your mind is exhausted.

Pretty interesting when you think about it. Many of my paramedic colleagues work in entirely different sectors than me. Thinking about it, I can’t come off with another “programmer” and thus also complicated when you have to describe what you’re doing. Sure, IT people know what I mean when I talk about coding, but others have no clue. The same way, I have no clue when it comes to brick laying. I don’t know how to do that, either.
