Heat

It is getting hot here in Austria. So I decided to get my portable air conditioner that was standing inside my basement into my Apartment.

I forgot that I don't have an appropriate mount for the windows in this Apartment so I drove to the next DIY store.

I got a cheap nylon thingy that is mounted via velcro. Although I did look good, it doesn't work well. The hot air that comes out of the tube gets blown out on the sides and the thing doesn't really seal the open window.

So I search a little bit, to see what others have come up with. After seeing a few images an idea struck me.

Why not use a wood plate where I could mount the tube from the air conditioner. I talked to my father (a carpenter) and he said it should be possible. Sadly I won't be able to get an appropriate plate until Monday.

So the next nights will be horrible to sleep. It is only June, so I think it will get a lot worse till July and August.

I'm already at about 23-degree Celsius in the Apartment. Normally I'm sleeping in between 18 and 20. Hopefully, I can get the wooden plate soon, so the aircon can start working.
