Financial Idiot 024 - A Pause

DISCLAIMER: I'm an idiot and this isn't financial advice! You can lose money when investing, and you should never invest money you don't own or you can't afford to lose. I'm not responsible for your decisions!

As you surely have noticed, you are missing an Issue of „Financial Idiot“ from two weeks ago. Although I was highly motivated on the last three Issues (21 to 23), some things have changed in recent weeks, and I wasn’t in the mood for writing more „Financial Idiot“ Newsletters. Maybe I overdid the last few or underestimated the efforts. Nevertheless, I took an unexpected break on the previous Issue and will take a more extended break now, which I’m announcing with this Issue.

Originally this Issue was supposed to deliver some insights into Books I want to read this year and some exciting newsletters. Still, I haven’t started reading any of those books (although they are already on my shelf), and I’m behind months on the Finance newsletters I subscribed to. Since I promised to bring more quality content, I’m not comfortable delivering something I’m not happy with. Readers always deserve more.
Issue 25 was planned to finally announce the Podcast & Spoken Version, which I teased a while back, but surprise, besides recording the intro, I wasn’t in the mood for editing and recording.

Besides that, I’m a Hughe procrastinator on some things, and winter depression isn’t making that easier for me. The plan was to write this apology two weeks earlier when I knew I hadn’t prepared anything.

So, I’m not going to promise anything I won’t hold, but I will continue this Newsletter in the Future. I’m still learning finance and enjoy writing a lot (as I still write in my diary daily). I can’t provide a timeline yet.
The idea is to prepare a portfolio insight at least every half year, but as with all content productions, content is challenging. And I’m thankful you joined in as a reader!

Until hopefully soon, Philipp.

PS: In the meantime, you can look through old Issues on Medium or my Blog.
