Welcome to the last Issue of Financial Idiot for this year. It’s been a tough year for almost everyone, but I enjoy regularly writing this Newsletter. I didn’t always deliver on time, but today I can look back on some exciting numbers.

First, thank everyone for reading along this year. We grew to a solid number of 20 people regularly reading this shit I write. :)
Since I also share all articles a month after release on my blog, some people might be sneaking in. Also, there is the Medium Publication which has about 12 views per month.

Besides the boring statistics nobody is interested in, several people contacted me to ask if I could help them guide their way through their finances. I never expected that and as I’ve always said: „This isn’t financial advice“! :) I’m not going to start a consultant business anytime soon, but I like getting asked for advice from time to time (always remember I’m an idiot!).

As already mentioned, this year was a tough one after, let’s call them, „the pandemic years“. I don’t think we are anywhere near the end of a crisis. The war in Ukraine is still ongoing, COVID-19 is probably here to stay, and Inflation is crazy high. But one thing we know for sure is that it will get better the further we progress into the future. I think we’ve got an Issue this year where I talked about markets always going up in the long run. I’m taking the optimist role and saying these times are cheap to buy into the market (be it crypto or fiat).

Although the year isn’t over yet, I’ve got some ambitious plans for this Newsletter next year. Let’s talk about them in no particular order:

I plan to up the quality of every single Issue. I finally want to hit the 7-minute average reading time with every Issue. So be prepared for slightly longer texts to read.

Going with the above, I also don’t want to write this Issue always at the last possible minute. I need to get my stuff together. Two weeks is more than enough to plan and write and edit a theme.

Something I’ve already mentioned in the past is that there is the idea to release this Newsletter also as Podcast. It is time to put this into action, so people who don’t want to read can listen to my voice. I’ve got the necessary equipment to record high-quality audio. I just need to use it. :)

Being more dedicated to this Newsletter also means it is time to start working on promoting it. My Medium Posts already get posted to my Twitter feed, but it is time to spread out and automate some more. I’m planning on adding a dedicated Twitter Profile along with one on Mastodon to share the Blog/Medium Posts there regularly.

In the beginning, I wrote that only a small number of people were invited to read this Newsletter. I’m not regretting this decision, but you are now free to share this Newsletter with everyone who comes to mind. :)
I’ve even got two QR codes on my car so that everyone can see.

Coming to an end now (haha, 4 minutes of reading time short), I wouldn’t be writing if nobody were reading, so thanks again, and be prepared for a fantastic year of exciting topics.

PS: As an end note, I’m getting only a tiny amount of direct feedback. I would appreciate it if you’ve got something that bothers you in this Newsletter or if you’ve got a topic I didn’t write about yet (or wrote about but too short, in your opinion). Please reach out to me. You can use the button below to Craft me an Email or use the Contact part of the Website: https://phaidenbauer.com/#contact. I love to get in touch with you.
