Extinct

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

I am sorry for the clickbaity title, but I thought it would suit the situation.

I had the first Home Office today and besides some starting problems, everything went well. My parents safely arrived at Vienna Airport and are at home now.

They aren't under quarantine, but they will be at home for the rest of their days off (I think until next Monday or so).

So my mother asked me if I could go and buy groceries for them. Obviously I agreed. A few hours later I drove to a local groceries store. It felt like the world has stopped spinning.

Only a handful of cars on the road, even it was close to rush hour and only a few people buying groceries.

The city I live in feels like it died out. Almost Extinct. Still, I heard people complaining about the current restrictions while driving my shopping card through the hallways of the store.

But complaining is an Austrian disease if we can do one thing well, it is complaining. We will see how the situation is going to evolve. As far as I know, three people died now totally in Austria as an effect of the Coronavirus.

At least the panicking and hamstring seems to be over, but what comes next?
