European Soccer Championship

To be honest, I’m not a soccer enthusiast. I mostly know when major events come along, and I can hear all local events because I can see the field from my balcony. Still, I’m not really interested in it. What’s the fun in watching millionaires chasing a ball?

Anyway, one of my coworkers created a tipping game for the current running Championship. Since my employer put out some Amazon gift cards as reward for the first three places, I signed up too.

Interestingly, although I have not really an idea which country is good at playing in Championships, I managed to be in position one (out of 14) currently. Always fun when betting random turns out to be working. Although I’m sure there are better and worse players and teams, performance can differ on any given day. And so betting on what sounds to me the better soccer nation turns out to be working. Let’s see for how long.
