Depressing?

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

The last weeks weren't easy. Since the corona pandemic started many events got cancelled. Just last weekend I would have been on a company organized vacation in Linz. It is now postponed to next year.

The infection rate in Austria is going up again and although I don't think that there will be a second lockdown, it could be possible easily.

I would have been at a Biostatis conference in Switzerland in October which got now changed to online only.

I don't feel depressed yet, but I get the feeling that I am somehow on a downwards trend. Although the recent release of Microsofts Flight Simulator got my mind wandering around earth again, it is still something I have to do from home and on my computer.

I don't even want to do paramedic shifts, I know it would benefit myself and of course many others, but I just don't feel like it.

As I got home from work today my only thought was to go straight to bed. I tricked myself into reading the newspaper on the balcony where I enjoyed a great sunset.

After the long and lonely first three quarters of the year, the last one is starting. Days are getting shorter, the sun keeps on vanishing.
