Deliveries

It's just past 22 o'clock now. After a very short night from Monday to Tuesday and a somewhat ok sleep from yesterday to today, I am exhausted.

I really am. Woke up at five am to bring down our pager and took one and a half hours more of sleep directly after.

Only six and a half hours at work and I went off to Graz with my parents to collect my new fridge and washing machine. Somehow the big electronics reseller messed something up and I was only able to collect the new fridge.

I hate when mistakes are made, but this one is especially curious and nerve-wracking.

I ordered the fridge and washing machine both at the same time at the online store of said retailer. Delivery time, two to three weeks. I thought, well no problem, I don't need the machines right away as both of them are working great in my old Apartment.

Last week the email arrived that the washing machine was ready for collection. Since my father had afternoon-shift, and he is the guy with the large car, I thought, ok maybe we can collect both machines this week.

Said and done, yesterday the email arrived that the fridge was also ready to collect. Great, now I can get both with one drive.

Arrived at the dispatch facility, prepared the paperwork and then the problem showed up. My washing machine wasn't there.

Nowhere to find. Turned out, one of the sellers sold my, RESERVED AND PAID, washing machine to another customer.

Great, now I have to wait two to three weeks again to get MY washing machine.

Sure mistakes are possible, but selling an already sold device?
