Conference Day

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

Today I attended the Biostasis 2020 Conference. As the name suggests, it was about Biostasis and cryonics. Since the conference was held under the Chapman house rules, I can't talk much about it.

Without the coronavirus, it would have been held in a venue in Zurich, but as written before, it was only online.

The talks were really interesting, but also came along with a few technical difficulties. It was the first time for the organizer to organize such a conference and I think they did pretty well.

My best friend (Christoph) came along so we watched the talks on my television while interacting with the others through the chat system. As it is with this online conferences, there wasn't much chatting going on and I have to say I really missed the "networking" part a little bit.

Nonetheless, the tickets were definitely a great investment and I'm looking forward to tomorrow when there will be are more community-driven day. As far as I understood it, all attendees can join in a zoom call.

I think I will use this opportunity to pitch my planned CryonicStories podcast. Maybe I could get a few people on board and talk a little bit about the interviews I have planned.

However, it is time to take a hot shower and head to bed as I'm really tired :)
