Christmas Routine

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

The year is coming to an end and it is probably time to look back and write a little review. Well, I think I will keep that for the last day of the year.

Today I want to talk about the family "rituals" that come around this year.

I don't know why but in Austria the 24th December is the starting point of Christmas. It is the that were the presents are "distributed" and were a bunch of church stuff is happening.

I will be driving home to my parents at about four o clock and will stay overnight. My mother is in the cinema with my cousin and after she will arrive, we will be having fondue.

Tomorrow my brother and I will be driving to my grandparents about 120 kilometres away. We will be celebrating with them and my grandmother will be preparing the classic "Wiener Schnitzel". In the evening we will be driving home again.

On the 26th of December we four will be driving to my other grandparents and have a large lunch there. Also, all aunts, uncles and cousins will be there.

My parents will drive to the other grandparents after that lunch.

That is mainly the procedure every year. How are you spending Christmas and the Holidays?
