Castlevania

This Blog Post was originally published on the platform "writelier" (formerly "co-writers" and "200wordsaday"). Sadly the blogging platform was discontinued. I downloaded all my blog posts and prepared them to be republish them here.

I was supposed to do a paramedic shift today. But just like @twizzle I caught a cold. So I am connected to my bed and couch.

A coworker recommended Castlevania on Netflix and so I thought I should take a look at it.

I always thought it was a children series and not something for adults, so I was avoiding it before.

Well, I was proved different. It is definitely not a series for children. Most episodes are rated for people older 16 or 18. Not only is it really brutal, but they are also talking in a very "mature" language.

Also, I heard that Carmilla and Austria, well Styria, is part of the story. Season three was just released and now I am watching since the morning. I only stopped while I was out, getting some medications and something to eat.

If you didn't know it, Carmilla is a story from a British author as far as I know. It tells the story about one vampire women. Even though I didn't read it, I heard part of the novel took place in Styria. It will be interesting to see how Netflix will flesh out this story and if they will talk more about Austria.
