Back in the Gym

Christmas is over, and I should be getting back into routines. I’ve neglected writing here, and I’m a bit angry at past Philipp because he didn’t continue. Anyway, you can always start over, I guess.
A few weeks back, I heard from some paramedic colleagues about a new gym near my hometown. And after battling with myself for a few weeks because of the price point (€60/month) I finally singed up for an example training. It was supposed to be scheduled this morning, but sadly the coach got sick.
I was bummed, but my brain immedetly started to go in the blocking route “maybe I shouldn’t sign up” thoughts started popping up. Luckily, the owner of the gym reached out and said if I wanted, I could have a go this afternoon. Well, I just came back from about an hour of training. Sometimes all you need is a little nudge in the right direction.
I singed up, and the plan now is to go on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning right before work. I really liked the studio as it is not as big as the others around, but in contrast they got new state-of-the-art machines from E-Gym. Basically, you do a round without weights to learn the movements, followed by a strength test. Afterwards, the machine calculates the needed workout load. Perfectly for a tech person like me.
It keeps track of all the workouts and increases the load as my strength increases. Everything comes with a not so good app, but it syncs up with Apple Health, so I’m satisfied.
Now I just need to get back into writing :)
