An Update

I know, I know, it has been a while since I’ve written here, and to be honest, I was missing it. But I wasn’t in the right mood. As you might know, I journal daily in my diary, but I need to be in the right headspace to write something meaningful publicly.

I had two weeks of time off in July and basically a great plan for it, but it turned out completely different. I noticed, I needed the time off and after a few strange days, my body turned into full relax mode instead of productive do things mode. I’m not blaming anybody, but thinking back now, I could have seen the signs earlier and stepped down at work beforehand.

Anyway, before the vacation started, I ordered a new barbecue grill for my parents’ place. The old (gas powered) one was already rusting quite heavily, and I really wanted to get back into grilling again. We have been having a BBQ since it arrived every Sunday now, and I really enjoy the time with my parents and my brother. I’m normally spending Sunday at their place anyway (my mother was normally cooking), but I wanted to change things up, and I can say the bond with my brother (though already pretty strong), definitely benefitted from it (we are normally handling the BBQ together).

Besides that, I also ordered a Rice Cooker with steaming functions, I didn’t need one, but I fell for influencer marketing, and I have to admit, you can do some nice recipes with it. I probably change my main meal-cooking to it.

I also started to ramp up my YouTube video production again, and I’m back at two Lets Plays per day currently. On the other hand, I haven’t done anything on the Cosplay or development projects, so no Cosplay for the Polaris Convention this year and no launched product. Sometimes we need to listen to our body, and in my case it clearly screamed stop, which I probably ignored for too long.

Anyway, I’m feeling way better now, and look forward to a nice Tesla Club Trip with my brother at the end of September and the week in Cologne and Hamburg in October. Also, this might be a one-off update, but I might keep on writing. We’ll see. :)
