Meeting the new neighbors

Posted at — Jun 9, 2019

Today, I spent with my new neighbors.

As I was leaving yesterday, a small notification hanged on the door, which invited me to the barbecue party today.

Even though only a small portion of my new neighbors showed up, I now know them.

Everybody brought there own ham. I didn’t know that but brought beer, since almost everybody likes beer. Kindly, everyone shared something to eat with me.

Potato salad, beetroot salad and of course and cutlets. It was great to experience such openness and friendliness again. Sure at my old apartment had neighbors, but we were a little bit more on our own.

So we sat there, drank beer and wine, and know I think I left a pretty good impression. At least I hope.

Even though I get to know only a small portion of the house and its families, I instantly felt welcomed and cared for. The house only has nine apartments so I think it is a little bit more familiar that larger apartment complexes.

I can’t wait for the next barbecue. Everybody had interesting stories to tell and I can’t wait to hear more of them. They told me, that in the summertime they are at least barbecuing one Sunday in the month.

We’ll see how it goes.
