Warhammer 40k

Posted at — May 13, 2019

A few weeks ago a coworker showed me his Warhammer 40k miniatures. I heard of Warhammer 40k years ago, if I remember correctly, but I never gave it a closer look.

I saw the miniatures of my coworker and was somehow hooked. No, I did not buy a starter-set right away but I am thinking about it.

The last few weeks (since he showed me this small “creatures”), I dug down the rabbit hole of Warhammer 40k. I also looked at the “normal” Warhammer which is more fantasy based, while 40k is based in the future and space. I think it’s like Star Trek and Lord of the Rings, either way, you like both or only one of them, and I’m more a Trekkie.

Anyway, I wanted to talk about a Playlist I discovered on Youtube which covers the basics of the Universe. If you want to know more about 40k I think it is a good starting point. I’m not through it yet but it makes a great alternative to listening to the radio all day.

It seems like the Guy (Luetin09) producing the Content in the Playlist knows what he’s talking about. And he has a smooth voice, which it is easy to listen to.

And if you’re not interested in the Game, you might be interested in the Books which are also Published by Games Workshop themselves. As I’ve heard they are some pretty good SciFi-Stories.
